Munim Khan led Akbar's imperial army against Daud Khan Karrani and captured Tanda, the Karrani capital, in September 1574. With Todar Mal's assistance, he defeated Daud at the Battle of Tukaroi on 3 March 1575 and secured the Treaty of Katak, under which Daud ceded Bengal and Bihar while retaining Orissa.
