Emergency-era Caretaker Rule

After the 11 January 2007 emergency, Bangladesh entered a prolonged caretaker-governed period backed by security institutions. Anti-corruption drives, political detentions, and administrative restructuring took place under a non-elected framework before the December 2008 election restored elected government.
